Six decades later, Dick Van Dyke still remembers all the words to a certain Mary Poppins tongue twister.

On Sunday, the legend of stage and screen embraced nostalgia for a good cause, treating a crowd of fans to a sing-along performance of “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” The 99-year-old didn’t dust off his dancing shoes for the number, but was lively from his onstage seat as he sang all the twisty lyrics to the beloved tune.
As the chimney sweep to Julie Andrews’ magical nanny, Van Dyke first sang the song in the 1964 classic, and has reprised it many times over the years to the delight of Mary Poppins’ millions of fans.
The latest performance took place as part of Vandy Camp, an event hosted by Van Dyke and his wife, Arlene Silver, at Aviator Nation Dreamland in Malibu, Calif., to raise money for the Los Angeles Emergency Preparedness Foundation (LAEPF) Community Brigade.

And Van Dyke didn’t just stop at one Mary Poppins tune: the event also saw him perform several beloved songs from his repertoire, including the theme for The Dick Van Dyke Show, which earned a raucous applause from the crowd.

As co-organizers of the charity event, Van Dyke and Silver recently spoke with PEOPLE about their 13-year marriage and ongoing professional partnership.
“We get along so well,” Van Dyke said, with Silver adding, “We just care about each other so much.”
Though Van Dyke recalled people saying their marriage “wouldn’t work,” Silver said time has proved the naysayers wrong.
“I mean it’s like eerie how well it works. People the same age don’t last,” she said, adding, “He’s made me feel like I can do anything.”
She continued, “I feel like this Vandy Camp is a great representation of all those things in one event.”
Van Dyke agreed, “It’s great… I love that title, Vandy Camp.”
