AMERICAN singer Janet Jackson’s set to perform in Mzansi at the DStv Delicious Music and Food Festival on 21 and 22 September.
However, her brother Tito Jackson (70), who was a member of the Jackson 5, has died.
The DStv team released a press statement: “We have recently learnt, alongside the rest of the world, of the sad and untimely passing of Tito Jackson, brother to our 2024 DStv Delicious Festival headliner, Janet Jackson. Our deepest condolences go out to the entire Jackson family during this difficult time.”
Tito Jackson, one of the brothers who made up the beloved pop group the Jackson 5, died at age 70. He was the third of nine Jackson kids, which include global superstars Michael Jackson and sister Janet, part of a music-making family whose songs are still beloved today.
“At this moment, we are in communication with Janet Jackson’s team, and while no decision has yet been made regarding her performance at the festival, we are committed to keeping the public and the media informed as soon as we have more information,” the statement read.

Janet’s set to headline the festival, which will take place at the Kyalami Grand Prix in Midrand, Gauteng.
